THE AVENUE - These photographs were made in response to a confusion of overhead branches located along The Avenue Delaval in North east England. Using some old Kodak400 CV 120 colour film and employing a rotating tripod head a number of multi-exposures were made per image. The subsequent results were variable. I have selected 3 working from high resolution scans to produce YMCK composite tiff files which are then output as archival digital colour inkjet prints.
I walked The Avenue hundreds of times as a child in all weathers and every time of season - I will never go back. These images are an emotional response to the physical and imagined environment.
